Passionate Penny Pincher Work Planner Review: Honest Unboxing & First Impressions

back to blog

If you’re searching for a Passionate Penny Pincher Work Planner review, you’re likely looking for a planner that helps you manage work life, daily tasks, and goals without feeling overwhelmed.

I recently purchased and unboxed the Passionate Penny Pincher Work Planner, and this post shares my honest first impressions after flipping through every section. This is not a sponsored review. Just a real look at whether this planner is actually useful for everyday work and productivity.

How I Found the Penny Pincher Work Planner

Of course, I was targeted on Instagram for their meal planning kit because at the time, I was trying to meal plan. I will say their meal planning kits are worth checking out as well. They have boxes and pdf version of 12 week plans.

Each week comes with a shopping list and recipe cards. I bought the One-Pot recipes because the easier the better for me. Not because I can’t cook…. (I mean, Bryan says I cook well) but because I like quick and efficient! I am not trying to make 4 course meals each night. #sorrynotsorry

What Is the Passionate Penny Pincher?

The Passionate Penny Pincher helps people, especially moms, manage their home life with meal plans, home planners, finance planners, and all kinds of things. It is to help moms be efficient homemakers, even if you work as well!

Passionate Penny Pincher is best known for:

  • Budgeting systems that are simple and repeatable
  • Physical planners (budgeting, home management, and meal planning)
  • Money-saving strategies for real life families
  • Meal planning to cut grocery costs
  • Routines and organization systems that reduce decision fatigue

Their approach is very much:

“You don’t need to be perfect. You just need a plan that works.”

Planner Layout & Design: First Impressions

There are a few things I really like about the planner at first glance and then one thing I am not the biggest fan of…

  • The inspiration and reflection section at the beginning of the planner is great. It includes things like your vision, purpose, and looking ahead to set goals.
  • 2 Goals Sections: I love that it has two different spreads for goals. There is a professional goals spread and a personal one!
  • My Favorite part of the planner is a monthly checklist. So, if you have things you do every month, you can just write it down once and check it off each month. #winwin
  • My only *dislike,* if you can even call it that, is the layout of the weekly pages. It is in time slots, but I have a small child so I can not really stick to hard times. However, each time slot has a little box to check off when complete, so I will probably just use the space as a checklist!

This planner is designed to support real work rhythms, not unrealistic perfection.

Who This Planner May Be For and Not Be For

To be completely honest, this planner may not be the best fit if:

  • You’re looking for a detailed finance or budgeting planner
  • You prefer daily spreads or more in depth goal planning like the Rocket Book Panda Planner.
  • You rely entirely on digital planning systems

This may be helpful for people who:

  • Just need a quality simple planner with not too much fluff throughout.
  • Want to focus on work and personal
  • Like vertical weekly layouts (could be used as checklists)

If you’re using this planner already, I’d love to hear your thoughts. Leave a comment or reach out and let me know what’s working for you.

Here is my unboxing and first impressions video:

If you’re someone who finds peace in having a plan, the Passionate Penny Pincher Work Planner is a solid tool for bringing structure and clarity to your workdays. It’s designed to help you focus, manage tasks, reflect on your goals, and stay organized without adding more noise to your life.

That said, if your overwhelm extends beyond work and into home life and you need a little EXTRA help, the Passionate Penny Pincher Home Planner may be worth exploring.

The Home Planner is built for managing life outside of work and includes an extensive collection of checklists and planning pages designed to reduce mental load and keep everything in one place.

If you’re deciding which planner is right for you, I recommend thinking about where you feel the most overwhelm right now and if you want tons of checklists or a minimal approach. If it’s work, the Work Planner is a great place to start. If it’s managing home, routines, and daily life, the Home Planner may be the better fit. And for some people, using both creates the balance they’ve been missing.
